Join us from the 27th July 2026 for our four-week Artisan Summer School, which offers an unparalleled opportunity to delve into artisan food production.
Develop and hone your skills through a diverse range of slow food experiences, including:
Bread Making: Master the art of traditional bread making, from sourdough to speciality loaves.
Viennoiserie: Uncover the secrets of perfect lamination as you prepare and bake the perfect croissant. Expand your repertoire beyond the classics by innovating with ingredients like Za’atar and gruyere.
Dairy: Discover the secrets of homemade butter, yoghurt and ice cream
Picnic Favourites: Produce mouthwatering summer favourites with local artisan meats and foraged ingredients.
Pastry and Patisseries: Perfect your pastry skills, from sweet to puff, to master the skills needed to create beautiful and delicate tarts and other treats to savour and enjoy.
Nestled within the stunning Welbeck Estate, our Summer School program offers a unique blend of hands-on workshops and expert-led sessions to elevate your skills.
With limited availability, this exclusive experience promises to enhance your repertoire while providing a memorable journey into the heart of artisan food culture. It is available with or without student-style shared accommodation located just a stone's throw from The School.
Throughout your time at The School of Artisan Food you will be supported by our team of technicians and hospitality staff. If you choose to stay on the estate, your weekends can be spent enjoying the many sightseeing opportunities in the surrounding area or simply relaxing and taking it all in.
Spaces are limited as the Summer School is designed for a small group to get the absolute best from The School of Artisan Food environment.

Accommodation
Student-style shared, self-catered accommodation is available on the historic Welbeck Estate. The lodges sleep 2–3 people, and rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the time of booking. All accommodations feature shared bathrooms and kitchens, and all accommodations are within a 2-to 15-minute walk.
All bedding is provided, and a welcome will be available on arrival.

For The School of Artisan Food Cottages (not including Welbeck Holiday Cottages): Check-in is only available between 3 pm and 6 pm on the Sunday before your course starts. Please depart from the property before 10 am the day after your course ends.
